Mansfield 1st is a friendly and diverse congregation with people of many different ages. We are a generational church, and we strive to meet the spiritual needs of today’s families in the midst of busy lives and non-stop schedules.

We would like you to feel welcome and to be comfortable, so please dress as you wish!

Jesus never distinguished between people based on how they were dressed. He receives everyone who comes to Him in faith and repentance. You will find some of us dressed in T-shirts and jeans, and some in a coat and tie; you will be accepted, however you are.

Children begin the worship service with their family. After the children’s message, they leave for an age-appropriate worship experience.

When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our members who can answer any questions you may have or introduce you to someone who can. If you have prayer requests or would like to be contacted, please e-mail us or fill out a pew card when you visit.

After worship, we host a time for fellowship called “Coffee Hour”. It is held in the parlor just off the sanctuary. All are welcome to stay and enjoy coffee, punch, treats, and fellowship.

The 5th Sunday of the month, we have a “Sundae Sunday”. A make-your-own ice cream sundae bar is set up for everyone to enjoy after the worship service.

Our facility is ADA accessible. Those with mobility concerns are encouraged to park in the driveway on the west side of the church (Trimble Road side) and enter the church through the central doors. You can also park on the North side and enter through the double doors with a covered awning. The sanctuary is just up a short flight of stairs from that entrance.

Yes! Nursery is available during the worship service. We also have an age-appropriate (kindergarten and older) worship experience called Kids Own Worship. The first Sunday of each month is Family Worship, and there is no Kids Own Worship. The children stay with their families in the pews.

Mansfield 1st Presbyterian was first established in 1816, originally meeting in the “Blockhouse”. We are Mansfield’s longest-continuing congregation and are honored to be such a vital part of this community’s history. There have been several location changes and a multitude of congregants and pastors over the 200+ years of our history, and we pray that we can continue to faithfully serve the Lord in Mansfield.

Kids Own Worship: We use the Show Me Jesus curriculum from Great Commission Publications.

Sunday School – Begin with Jesus: This class is for kids younger than kindergarten that combines music, sensory experiences, and play to introduce the Gospel in a lively and engaging way.

Sunday School – Show Me Jesus: This class is for children in kindergarten through 2nd grade. We use the Show Me Jesus curriculum from Great Commission Publications to point children to Christ in all of Scripture and help children to write God’s Word on their hearts.

Sunday School – Closer to Jesus: This class is for children in 3rd through 6th grade, using the middle elementary Show Me Jesus curriculum from Great Commission Publications. Children will discover and apply Bible truths, encourage Bible memory, and promote personal Bible study and prayer.

Kids Quest Catechism Club: This is part of Westminster Wednesdays. Kids and adult study groups begin at 5:30 pm. Kids Quest is taught by our Children’s Ministry Director.

Yes. Westminster Wednesdays meets on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. This includes Adult Bible Study and Kids Catechism Club for children of all ages.

Following the service each Sunday, we gather for some delicious treats & fellowship. We have a group of ladies who meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month to quilt together. We often have a planned potluck lunch in our fellowship hall after the worship service.
