Growing up as a PK (aka pastor’s kid), church service is in Jennifer’s blood. She began teaching kids in her teens and felt the Lord’s call early on in her life to go into the field of education. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York, Jennifer began working in the public school system as a classroom teacher. She was privileged to work for 10 years with Lexington Local School District and earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from The Ohio State University in 2008.
While working in Lexington, Jennifer met her wonderful husband, and they married in 2005. When their first daughter was born, they decided that Jennifer would devote her time and energy to homemaking and mothering. As their daughters came of school age, they made the choice to home educate their children, and she has delighted in their home educating journey for the past 10 years.
Throughout the years, Jennifer has never lost sight of the importance of using her spiritual teaching gift in Christian Education. It has been her joy to minister to kids from a variety of different abilities and learning styles as a counselor, teacher, VBS leader, and preschool education director.
